I can't believe all the people I saw touching the cars. There are signs everywhere telling you not to touch the car.
Yet I saw people ignoring that over and over today.
Saw a woman with several rings on her hands have someone take her picture...with her hands posed on the car. I bet the owner of the car would have had a heart attack if he walked up and saw that.

Exactly how fat was this lady wearing the rings?

She wasn't fat at all. Looked to be in her 50s. Attractive woman for her age.

That’s still trashy as hell. I would’ve had a WTF moment as well.

The fatter the better. Get some cushion around that metal.
The scratch on the McLaren was over a foot long. It didnt look deep, but it was noticeable at the right angles. ETA: to his credit, the owner really kept his cool too.

John Staluppi who bought that Supra earlier for $2.1 m is a retired capo from one of the 5 families. He made them so much money bringing Honda dealerships to the tri state area in the 70s, among other money making ventures, that they let him retire. Now he lives in West Palm Beach. True story

Interestingly, in talking to an Olds engineer years ago, the build sheets were not even supposed to go in the cars. So it's a crap shoot if the car ever had one at delivery in the first place. And if it was just laying in the car it got tossed during dealer prep.
Same with the Corvettes, the car came down the assembly line inverted. The tank sticker taped to the fuel tank and was solely meant for workers and was never intended for documentation.

Anyone know the details & final price on this Apache?

You can go to the Barrett Jackson website and look it up. It will tell you what it sold for.
I just checked my pics to see if I had another shot with a better view of the sold sticker but I don’t.
ETA: We will be heading back to BJ in a couple of hours and hitting up all the smaller tents. I bet there will be a ton of trucks in them. I always take pictures of the older trucks cause my husband loves them.

Morning Nurse. Thanks for posting all the pics. Some really nice cars there. Too many to have one favorite.
Seems to be happening more and more. I was the process being judged and at the same time the judge and I both noticed two little handprints at the top of the drivers door. He took a nicely folded towel out of his pocket, wiped them off and smiled at me. No points lost, but damn...

No worries, nurse. I'm planning attending next year. I've always wanted to go. How expensive is the hotels?
Posted on 1/20/19 at 11:58 am to broadhead
Just depends where you stay I guess.
FYI, if you are going with a group may be cheaper to Airbnb a house/condo. There are tons of houses in Scottsdale that were purchased just for Airbnb. I live right next to one. Different people staying there every week.

I'd like to know the story on the SL-C that sold for only $88k. That same car sold for $126 last year with 200 miles. It was advertised this year with 7 miles.
