A lot of these custom cars are selling for seemingly big money, but are still less than the build cost in most instances. The $160k Nomad or the $300k C2 vette on a c7 chassis. That was a lot of skilled labor hours.

Yes and no...
These are "catalog cars" The builders pick up the phone, call Art Morrison and they are shipped a fully assembled chassis, engine and transmission. They then drop on a body, send it to paint and then to the interior shop. A lot of the "hard work" is done for them.

These charity cars get put up for charity again in a few years. There is an old dragster that has made $10m+ over the years. GW vette is a good idea.

$1.4M for that Vette!
Anyone know who the buyer is?
I guess he needed a tax write-off...

Same dude bought the Power Wagon, young guy too.
Noticed that as well. Guy looks 40 years old and has dropped a half mil today so far.

True. Another piece of the price is the instant purchase. I know a guy getting a ‘57 Chevy built. The cost is north of $150k for a moderate build but also a year and a half build/wait time. A more custom job like these cars is easily $200k+ then a few dollars to skip the line.
