Not against it but just acknowledging the trend

I didn't take it as such and agree.
It will be interesting to see the direction of the classics go as the Baby Boomer generation moves on. I think you are starting to see a shift now.

Good imo. Cheaper originals to buy

People are drinking and the prices are inflated
I added about 30k to what I thought

Open bar, deep pockets and dick measuring is what makes it great, especially on Saturday night.

To your point, I think we are seeing the shift of car owners away from the older generation who was around for the prime of these cars and wrenched on them to a younger generation who doesn’t want to deal with the maintenance and lack off ammenities.
I think this shift is also largely attributed the the shows on TV now with an emphasis on custom. Kindig design, fast and loud (with AK), etc

I look at it like why would I pay 50k for a plastic new mustang when I can pay 50 for an old one with modern engine and suspension. Has good drivability and I don’t look like Douche bag

I think there are a couple of 1989 Buick Grand National GNX's rolling across today. Looking forward to that.

Do you know who the lead designer on the Pontiac GTO was?
John Delorean. He worked for Pontiac and had them hot rod a lemans as his daily driver. Everyone loved it so they decided to produce it.
BTW GTO stands for Grand Turismo Ommalagotta <------ going 100% off of memory so it's probably spelled wrong.
Also, I'm not a "Pontiac" guy.

Gonna be leaving in a few hours to head over there. We normally walk all of the tents to see all of the cars there(I think there are like 5-6 massive tents outside of the main structure). Previous years I’ve taken a bunch of pics with my phone and posted some on here (including specific type of cars requested).
Any requests? I can make a list and try to grab pics if I see that type of car in the tents.

That Power Wagon was nice.

Yeah we always enjoy going. I’m not a huge car person and I still enjoy seeing so many nice cars. The auctions are exciting to see live as well. It’s why we are going today vs tomorrow....we want to see some of the high dollar cars being auctioned.
Can’t wait to see some of the chicks trying to walk around in heels though. The people watching there is great as well. Most just normal folk but you will see some of the Scottsdale gold digger type women there thinking they will snag some rich guy buying cars.
