I don't care what they call themselves, if I can make appointments and not have to be around the trash at a Sports Clip or Super Cuts, etc, I plan to go to the new version of the barbershop.

Guy that cuts my hair is only allowed to work 3 days a week right now. I've got to go until the 29th. It will be almost 4 months. Got my last cut early Feb. I knew I should have gone in March before all this stuff.

Sports clips and Super cuts definitely aren't barber shops either.

I'm not sure a lot of folks on here have ever been in a real barber shop.

Just got mine cut. Sent my barber a text as soon as JBE said they can open Friday. It’s usually walk ins but only appointments during this phase 1

What the fck are you the hair expert or something?

The previously mentioned Algie Haily is def. a real barbershop.

My favorite barbershop ever was the one I went to for the first five years after I moved down here.

Old school place in the Fat City area of Metairie. Three old arse guys cutting hair, telling stories and jokes with a tv always on sports. Playboy magazine was laid out on the chairs. Two of the old guys had owned race horses and been involved in the New Orleans boxing scene way back in the day. I think they all grew up in the Irish Channel.

Anyway, it was an awesome place and there was a great po-boy shop next door. You could order your po-boy while you waited for your haircut and they would bang on the wall when the order was ready.

Just checked in at SportsClips Seigen... 4 hour wait

Usually use the online check-in, but it wasn’t working today showing 200+ minute check-in times but not letting me check in...so I just drove over there and checked in at the table in parking lot

I don’t frequent a barber shop but I’ve been to a couple of them before. If my stylist is booked up for a few weeks I may go find a barber shop and get it done.
