That Altima was me a couple years ago. That area floods really badly and I felt invincible... Stupid.

what's crazy is NOAA's forecast discussion also states that there is a chance of severe weather tomorrow as well..

quote:

THE
FORECAST AREA HAS BEEN OUTLOOKED FOR A MARGINAL RISK OF SEVERE
WEATHER ON TUESDAY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF COASTAL MISSISSIPPI AND
EXTREME COASTAL AREAS OF SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA WHERE A SLIGHT RISK
WILL EXIST. RAINFALL MAY BE HEAVY IN SOME AREAS THROUGH TUESDAY
MORNING WITH A GENERAL 2 TO 3 INCHES POSSIBLE ACROSS MUCH OF THE
AREA. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL BE POSSIBLE. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH
WILL BE ISSUED FOR THE ENTIRE FORECAST AREA THROUGH MID DAY
TUESDAY. 11

Mike gives no fricks

As far as flights, many diversions and some went back to original hubs for both BTR and MSY.

Southwest ATL-MSY back to ATL currently
BTR getting a Southwest diversion FLL-BTR-MSY, not sure if southwest has ever been to BTR
Jackson got a DL ATL-JAN-BTR and US CLT-JAN-BTR
Shreveport getting AA DFW-SHV-MSY
Lafayette getting DL ATL-LFT-MSY

My sister in law works at the Old Navy in Elmwood. Said they lost part of the roof and water was leaking in everywhere....then a customer came and asked to check out.

Old Perkins has several power lines down. Thankfully, no trees are in the road. Highland is out of power around I-10 and all the way down past Pecue.
