Get down on the floor and relax.Pull your knees up like a "cannon ball" position.Or one at a time.Gently rock back and forth.
I've got 4 bulging discs and getting down on the floor and doing some easy back stretches like that always makes my back feel better.
It's kind of like "ironing" your back out.

The OP is female. I think posting nudes would most definitely help make a complete diagnosis.

Um, sorry but not happening.

At the very least, side boob. This would greatly assist the OT to understand if there were leverage issues compounding the problem which would require running more tests via a motorboat protocal.
Sorry. It's science.

My spine doesn't hurt at all ... it's the area to the left of the spine but not upper or lower back ... middle back. I suck at explaining these things. Thanks everyone.

The more important thing is to figure out if the vertabrae or muscles.

Belly button level?

Tigerpaw, I'd say between belly button and chest level but more toward chest but in the back, like a couple of inches below my bra. I'm guessing muscular.

Again makes
Perfect sense, I am betting the PT was working on your illopsoas aka hip flexor and as it loosened up it relaxed at its Origin and caused spasms to the opposing mid back muscles
ETA: not implying the PT did anything wrong, just part of process

No doubt. You strained something when sleeping on the sofa, made an unnatural movement. It happens.

Well I'm taking my rx from post knee sx and going to bed. lol I'm sure it'll eventually go away but I'm really saying that if I never have back pain like this again it'll be too soon. Thanks again ...

Left of midsagittal, Dr. Netter.

Yep. I've had work on my right hip flexor result in left sided QL pain.

Classical case of reflected sympathetic muscular antipathy.
Solution: Remove bra.
You're welcome in advance.

Quite the compliment, I can still visualize the pic of him in the forward at his drafting table smoking a cigarette

Much better for image reference than Grey's IMO. The man put in some work.
