Exactly

They are soooooo many hot 25-40+ year olds these days.

I'm amazed at the level of talent in this age bracket when I'm at the gym.

Pretty much, Im 30 and my gf is 25 almost 26, shes got most of her party ways out of her and has a career and is very driven. Shes a great mother to our son.

My ex before her I started dating when I was right out of college and she was 19, so she fit my party lifestyle but she at least worked hard and went to school. As we got older our life goals started to match up but she was bat shite crazy bc even at 23 she was not ready for marriage.

A year after we broke up she got knocked up and a shot gun wedding

In all honesty if I was single and online dating I would probably put that on my page. "Just looking to have a good time with someone cool" or something similar.

She wants to have fun nothing wrong wth that

So would her ex fiancé. he's drilling some 22 year old at his company.

Social media can be a very, very negative influence on women and committed relationships IMO.

One of the best points of this thread. But it goes both ways. I don't have any social media for this reason.

For some reason people, and sadly women mostly, compare themselves to what they see peers posting on Instagram and Facebook.

Do people not realize that usually someone only posts the BEST picture, or only the highlights of what's going on?

I was in West Palm recently and watched a girl probably 19 or so spend nearly 30 MINUTES at the pool trying to get the perfect selfie.

I mean, what in the actual frick?

If you're just looking to have fun, that's a different story.

90% of women on dating sites use "I just want to have fun" to describe themselves.

Again, what the hell does that even mean?

This is the cause for a lot of society's problems IMO. People are inundated with other people's successes causing jealousy.

Definitely. No one ever posts pictures of them laying on the couch with their laptop on their stomach. But that picture on the slopes in Colorado? That vacation to Paris? They're everywhere

that 19 year old is a play toy that you dont get serious with

...and?

Sex is readily available pretty much everywhere (thank you tinder and feminism), why would I choose to get serious with someone? Especially someone over the age 30 who only has about 5ish "decent" years left to have a baby?

All these OT "ballers" looking for these crazy expectations of getting a 20 year old at 40 is what I'm getting at. You are not all that either. If you're 40 and single, there is definitely a issue with you (for male and female).

I'm not 40, but I've seen guys in their 40s that look better than guys in their 20s. It's not that far fetched. I'm in the best shape of my life at 34. I have all of my hair and not one gray hair either.

Also, you don't always have control over the situation. I didn't ask to be a single dad in my 30s. There's no "issue" with me.

I'm with ya man. Social media gives people unrealistic expectations before getting into a relationship and only causes problems to existing relationships.
