Really? Come on dude.

I hate to burst your bubble, but nobody cares if you call them, text, write a letter or show up on their front porch with a note from the Dr.

Yea it is... And I've stated my reasoning behind this already

It's too bad that the logic for calling a party attention whorey makes announcing it on facebook attention whorey. What makes you think every one of your "friends" gives a shite about you baby's gender?

Meh, Im liking this to a kids bday party or Easter egg hunt.
Not sure how much partying or boozing it up is appropriate.

Well that's your own fault for thinking it should be like that.

Why is it that guys don't beg girls to join us at the camp or golf course?

Why the frick do you think dudes are begging to have a gender reveal party? Why are you assuming that every dude that has these parties floats around with extra sugar in the tank or something?

I completely agree. You should both have your own personality and life outside of the relationship, but having a gender reveal party doesn't culminate to not being able to shite separately in your lives. You're just assuming that people that do these can't for some reason.

You have said several times on here that your friend came up to your wife and told her she was going to throw ya'll a party to do it. She dictated how you were going to do it.

man you are stretching

you think if my wife didn't want to do a reveal party that she would have still allowed it?

This has been chatted here many a times. He has always played the "my friends put the party on for me" line.

And you made a pretty terrible assumption about what that means.

The only thing more perplexing than the trend of such parties is the people who feel the need to incessantly complain about them.
Dont feel like reading the whole thread, but this is spot on. The least "manly" thing in the world is to care so damn much about what others do

I've been to 4 of them and they were all like Brag is describing. I'm 100% on board with that type of party. I even wore a blue shirt to one of them

Did it match your skirt and handbag?

(And before you go having a hissy fit I'm just joking.)

if you are cool with just texting your parents the gender of their grandchild, I don't care

I like doing certain things in person though.

I actually think its a good topic. I think social media has made this stuff a problem. There is nothing sacred any longer. I would love to be surprised when I meet a family or friends child for the first time. But that is impossible when photos are being posted as soon as they exit the womb.

My skirt was plaid and my handbag was a Coach leather. I got called it by some bitch for wearing white after labor day.

About as classy as a foursome of grown men gossipping about another guy having a party.

I'm confused. Earlier you accused me of being a pussy whipped pushover. Which is it?

No it doesn't.. Do you not see the difference between throwing a big, catered party versus just posting a simple 'it's a XXX!!' on facebook? Are you that dense?

I called them both times.
Soon as we found out.

Not appropriate?

it certainly has

everyone feels like they have to this or that nowadays, and that it has to look like something out of a magazine because pictures are going to end up somewhere for people to see, so it puts more pressure on the hostess

it really is silly
