Isn't that what all social media is about?

I mean, we are all a part of it.

I have enough sense to realize my guy friends don't care.
They are all happy for us but they don't need a party to show that.
So therefore I wouldn't expect them to come.

I get that, but my friends would probably want to come since we all like to party. If they don't come, it's not like missing a wedding. I think most people would agree when I say that a friendship isn't going to be on the rocks if they don't make a fricking gender reveal party

I don't have face book but what if you just sent a message to friends you wanted to know?
Group text?

Still same?

Last invitation sent to my house had RSVP on it. so yeah it's not even close to same thing.
Keep telling yourself it is though.

So you are switching from "my friends did the party for me" to "we had more involvement" because I called you out for not being responsible for how you would tell people. classic

Yes, why do they need to know before the kid pops out? Attention whore.

Which side of the fence are you on about this shite?

I've been to 4 of them and they were all like Brag is describing. I'm 100% on board with that type of party. I even wore a blue shirt to one of them, and they ended up having a girl. The party was nicely catered and I ate so much brisket and bbq that I almost threw up.

I mean...I wanted to tell certain people in person, not in text.

Is that so hard to understand?

Or you made a pretty ridiculous assumption and he's clarifying things for you. Wither way.

no...

I said my wife's friend planned the party, i.e. food and decorations, but my wife coordinated with her friend so that the party was the night of our doctor's appt.

That is certainly not "allowing our friends to dictate how we tell people"

Meh, Im liking this to a kids bday party or Easter egg hunt.
Not sure how much partying or boozing it up is appropriate.

Fact is its a girls idea and a girls thing...
Why is it that guys don't beg girls to join us at the camp or golf course?

You don't have to make every event in life a couples event.
Just how I see things.

This has been chatted here many a times. He has always played the "my friends put the party on for me" line.

It was just a spur of the moment thread I made last night after I saw one on fb that was cringe worthy.

You have said several times on here that your friend came up to your wife and told her she was going to throw ya'll a party to do it. She dictated how you were going to do it.

So telling everyone on facebook is less attention whorey than only telling your friends and family at a party? Am I getting this right?

Yea it is... And I've stated my reasoning behind this already

maybe if you went to one you'd know it's nothing like those two events.

You're so manly.

I bring my wife to the golf course. But I guess sneaking off for a quick BJ is pretty gay.

You also don't have to talk shite about things you clearly know nothing about in an attempt to act macho.
