Enjoying parties will lower your testosterone levels. Haven't you heard?

I haven't read through, but do people bring gifts to gender reveal parties?

I hope not. There's already enough gift giving parties IMO. I don't think it's a big deal to have a party for this, though. Who doesn't like parties? Food and booze and people...I swear some people on here amaze me with how anti-social they are. I guess that's a big reason why they're on here.

Then why tell any of those people the gender beforehand? Can't they just find out when the baby is born? Why are you attention whoring so much?

Giving someone a call or telling them at dinner "Hey were having a girl" is attention whoring?

Do you consider telling someone you're going to take a shite attention whoring? Or do you throw a big party to let everyone know?

LOL

I bet your wife makes you take all kinds of pics with your pets with train tracks and barns in the background.

Then you post on Facebook for everybody to see.

So much in love.

It's funny because you couldn't be more wrong. What exactly does my wife have to do with me celebrating something with my friends again? Your logic is pretty flawed, not surprisingly.

still trying to comprehend how a reveal party thrown by someone else is "celebrating oneself"

so are reveal parties for the most part

In the sense that having a reveal party is, yes.

Seems like both are attention whoring using the guidelines established by yall.

And expanding on this. Is your friendship one way? You get invited to these things because your friends think highly enough of you to include you. You don't have to pay anything, you don't have to bring a gift. So what's the giant problem with going to a party to celebrate a big moment in your friend's life?

If a friend does it, that's fine. That is how they want to live their life. I may or may not go depending on if I am busy. It won't be something I make sure to attend like a wedding, birth of the child, or other major milestone.

As long as people don't start wearing cargo shorts to gender reveal parties, we're good, right?

I'm really confused how it is a "Hey look at me" party when someone else plans and hosts the party...?

The couple of people I know that have done these planned them themselves. I've never seen anyone have someone else do one of these for them.

I'm not struggling to understand any of this.

Reason why is I have a good friend that's exactly like you.

He's a bitch when it comes to his wife and does/says things that he would have never done before.
It's borderline embarrassing at times.

Obv you guys have similarities.
Congrats!

So it's OK when your friend does it, but attention whoring for other people? I'm confused on your stance apparently.

Just because your friends balls are in a jar on a bookshelf somewhere doesn't mean everyone that does these parties is whipped. Sorry you don't like parties and potentially pleasing women folk.
