I remember that episode when it first aired and seeing her for the first time in a role that focused on her. That dress she wore when getting off the bus when first arriving in Mayberry was "Form Fitting" and she really filled it out----in all the right places.

Near the end of the episode Andy tells her "I don't know it you know it or not, but Nature's been good to you. Real, real, real good to you. I can't remember Nature spending so much time on one woman".

I was 9 when that first aired in 62 and I didn't know any women involved in my daily life that looked close to that good looking.

yup, I don't remember who said it, might have been Goober, but one of them said when she got off the bus, "That's a WOMAN". Andy I think chimed in "Yup, that's a woman". They were all in Floyd's staring out the window dumb struck. Hilarious episode.

Before I got to your last picture I was immediately thinking that Jesse looks remarkably similar to Ella Langley.

They remind me quite a lot of my girlfriend in high school, also a twin. In a statistical anomaly, more than one-fifth of my graduating class of 46 were twins - ten, and the six girls were all very pretty. Caused a considerable amount of confusion among both the students and the faculty. I couldn't tell most of them apart until I was a senior, and then it took close observation.

Makes me recall a time when we were parked in a little used lane in the woods when a farmer on a tractor turned into it. We had to hop back over into the front seat and drive away in the nude. Good thing no local yokel deputies were out and about. Wouldn't have been laughing so hard.

Look at old Barney... You do know that Don Knotts actually had a reputation as quite a ladies man.
