Some of what she says in this part is true. Blacks did build the country, particularly in the South. We did rip a people from their customs and culture. They were not Christians.

None of these facts can be disputed.

In 2013, 14 percent of households (17.5 million households) were food insecure.
In 2013, 6 percent of households (6.8 million households) experienced very low food security.
In 2013, households with children reported food insecurity at a significantly higher rate than those without children, 20 percent compared to 12 percent.
In 2013, households that had higher rates of food insecurity than the national average included households with children (20%), especially households with children headed by single women (34%) or single men (23%), Black non-Hispanic households (26%) and Hispanic households (24%).
In 2011, 4.8 million seniors (over age 60), or 8 percent of all seniors were food insecure.[v]
Food insecurity exists in every county in America, ranging from a low of 4 percent in Slope County, ND to a high of 33 percent in Humphreys County, MS.[vi]

Just curious, how did "blacks...build the country, particularly the south" as you claimed in your post?

Really, pretty sure black people didn't build the hoover dam or the interstate system. You should educate yourself a little.

4% of the country were slave owners. It seems a bit revisionist to accept that blacks "built this country". The industrial revolution and the expansion of the railroad was far more important to the development of our nation than the agrarian economy in the South.

Those are facts.

Trust me, educating heather is falling on deaf ears.

As they say, might as well put one behind the ear, that dog won't hunt.

I will change what I said (which doesn't defeat my argument): Blacks had a disproportionate role in building this country (e.g. they did more).

I read what he said, and I did change my statement to reflect its truth.

I have an open mind.

When Banks said "blacks built this country," she obviously did not mean exclusively. She said it in the context of "blacks supplied a majority of the labor for the growth of the country, along with the Chinese."

She once called for over $100 trillion to be paid to African-Americans as financial reparations for the enslavement of their ancestors. In proposing such a silly number, she hurt the cause for legitimate and reasonable reparations.

There is no such thing.

Just an observation, but do you think some racist imbecile most people had never even heard of until her "I HATE this fu*%ing fat, white, racist country & its citizens (that made possible her undeserved D-list fame & fortune, btw), so I'm LEAVING!!!" ever-so-slightly inflammatory rant in Playboy "hurt your cause" for reparations as a result of her "proposing such a silly number"? ... Lol, any number, silly or otherwise, that this girl - who is the epitome of idiocy, anti-America, & racism - demands to be paid to "African-Americans as financial reparations for the enslavement of their ancestors," is utterly laughable. She hurts your "cause" simply by her existence, fyi, fwiw, & ftr. The "anti-reparationists" couldn't ask for a better spokesperson. ...

Unfortunately, it looks as if you're stuck with her, though because despite her hope-raising threats to leave "the REAL America" - you know, the one filled with fat, racist, white teenaged girls working at white, racist Kmart, with fat, racist, white grandmothers, & living on farms in white, racist, fat middle America with their fat, racist, white families - it disappointingly appears she will be staying on here, in the country she soooo adores, since she apparently comprehends just enough to realize who provides her with her wealth & "fame" (or notoriety in her case), and where they both were/are made possible - yep, in the good ol' U.S. of fat, white, racist A.

So, yes, she possibly might have set your "cause" back just a touch, but it has nothing to do with the "silly numbers" she proposed, and everything to do with her literal being. Perhaps, everyone might benefit if she were to leave the U.S., her beloved homeland, and take a trip abroad, maybe to the continent of Africa to track down the descendants of some of the kings of the tribal kingdoms who actually sold or bartered their own people, perhaps even some ancestors of "Azalea's," into slavery, then demand reparations, (shoot for the moon; $100 trillion sounds good) from any descendants of African tribal king slave traders she can find, and the countries which were derived from those kingdoms. ... A win-win for everyone.

Which is still incredibly incorrect. ... Whomever chose this idiot - who clearly has no clue, whatsoever, about much of anything - to be a mouthpiece, did a horrible job.

Troll ... At least I'll know just to skip over your asinine posts from now on & not waste my time.... Trolls, particularly bad ones regarding this issue, don't help your "cause" either, fyi, fwiw, & ftr.

That's funny. Never would've guessed it was your own kind selling the slaves to the White traders. Guess you should blame yourself and ancestors too.

No one is innocent when looking back through history. Its stupid as hell to blame all white people when a majority are not connected to slave owners in any way.
