Read an article?
This was stuff I was taught in nursing school. That I was also taught at every hospital I've ever worked in to instruct new parents on. It's basic knowledge.

Here is the best parental advice I can give you:
1) start an 829 plan and a Roth for your kid.
2) don't hit your kid. You want your kid to respect you, not fear you.
3) raise your voice sprangly. That way it's effective when you do it.
4) be tough on your kids. Set the bar high and help them achieve it, then expect it from then on out.
5) sir and ma'am should be a given for all adults.
6) show affection to your kids. Hug them, kiss them, and cheer them on.
7) education first, before all else.
8) if they start a sport or activity, demand they finish it.
9) hold yourself to the same standards.
10) listen to them and use their input.

"Tell them not to microwave milk because it can burn the baby."
Basic indeed.

We don't microwave breast milk. I don't even like using the microwave for a lot of my own food. Never trusted that voodoo.

Can't open a Roth for a kid until they are of legal working age.
More bad parenting advice on the internet.
Also,,,, it's a 529 not an 829.

I think you're just trolling now but I'll bite:
Even if the microwaved milk can be "shaken" why would you risk possibly burning your child mouth?

Hope you have a wife who loves being a mom. My wife nails the baby stuff. I never have to wake up in middle.of the night

Warming milk in the microwave for 15 seconds won't burn the baby.
Heating milk in the microwave for 55 seconds will burn the baby.
I don't need to go to nursing school or read an article to understand basic common sense.

And? Start a damn Roth for your kid. This was basic advice. I don't expect him to spank his newborn, but I mentioned not to hit his kids too.

They don't have to be of working age to earn income. My company writes a check to each of my children's IRAs each year. They're 4 & 2.

Another example of internet bad parenting advice.
Oh, so your spouse works as a labor and delivery nurse and you have experience in insurance law as an attorney. Might want to go back to the shadow end of the pool.

Stop overthinking, start loving your wife's pregnancy. Y'all will sync. Plus when child is born, you won't remember your post or much else if you are a man.

From 7 weeks on, my daughter was in bed at 8 and up at 7. She is 15 months now and literally on the same schedule. We are beyond lucky.
The first 7 weeks were a grind. She was up every 3 hours or so to breastfeed. I would wake up half delirious, take a piss, and stay up just long enough to keep the wife company while she was breastfeeding. She says she didn't care, but it felt like I was carrying my weight.
