Bad car accident on hwy 30 between Bluebonnet and Lexington Estates. Take River Rd

Praying for everybody involved and I’m so tired of seeing this keep occurring at the same spot on hwy 30.

That’s like 3 or 4 bad ones right there this year.

Change the name to Highway 69.

That way people will have to pay better attention.

there was one there just the other morning. Ive always thought that hwy 30 from Bluebonnet to the plant is the highest likelihood of me meeting my maker. People seem to have abandoned the rules of the road. Hope everyone is ok

Guy just told us to turn around that it was going to be 4 hours until it’s reopen. He didn’t say if somebody was dead but that’s usually what it means.

People are reporting that a car was literally split in half. My god. Prayers for everyone involved.

that was two 18 wheelers at the intersection of BB and 30. the way they hit, one clearly ran their light.

one of the other ones at the intersection was caused by a driver who didn’t understand that when he had the flashing yellow arrow, the oncoming car had the green ball. the flashing yellow arrow seems to be a big problem for many drivers in our city. don’t think many know what it means and who has the right of way.

not sure what’s causing the terrible accidents fiurther down in front of lexington. maybe distracted driver. But at this point, i hope DOTD is looking into hwy design because it’s just odd to have had the number of deadly accidents in same spot in such a short period of time.

Holy shite that’s terrible. All I was able to see was firefighters in the ditch attending to one vehicle and firefighters in the middle of the road but couldn’t see what was going on being it was dark and cars in front of me.

They need to make it a 4 lanes all the way from st Gabriel into Nicholson/lee area. Light that whole area up along the route as That road is dark at night and always feels small

Problem that I have seen is cars keep trying to pass others right there. I don’t know what happened in this incident.

Agreed. Terrible plan design and impatient a-hole drivers try to use the turning lanes as passing lanes and run directly into cars who are just trying to turn into their neighborhood. Baws in trucks run on the shoulders to swerve around cars that aren’t moving fast enough for them I guess. Add all the young drivers and we’re all fricked. I’ve lived here three years but I’ve never seen it this bad.

Passed it soon after it happened. One of the cars was split in half and one of the halves was basically just parts. One was in the ditch near the tree line flipped on it side, another was in the road with the front end gone. Just horrible thing to see.

People pass on the road all the time and there is just too much traffic to do it safely

BR drivers are lawless. They openly drag race down Brightside. Dirt bikes on Government.

Big developments on a country road - needs to be a NO passing area from LSU to parish line at minimum. U Club has been there for a while.. wish there was a better way in and out for them.

There needs to be a light at Lexington or UClub to break the traffic. And there are too many people going 35-45 on a 55mph highway which causes dangerous passing behavior.
