I'm sorry that you were slightly inconvenienced by a tiny auto correct.

Oh, and I can be an a-hole grammar Nazi too. Why didn't you put a period on that sentence?

IQ isn't a full proof measure of intelligence. It very much caters to people that are quick thinkers and recognize patterns.
Any test that measures an abstract, latent construct like IQ is going to have some flaws due to the reductionist approach to measurement. That being said, there are many individual IQ batteries that measure a breadth of processing areas such as processing speed (quick thinking) and fluid-reasoning/visual-processing(recognizing patterns), among other areas. These have all been empirically-validated as loading on G (general IQ). In regards, to the graph, I'm not sure how they came to their results (didn't look in detail at any methodology), but I would be surprised if they obtained their data from a comprehensive measurement of IQ.

Demographics and socioeconomic status play a huge role in these averages.
There's a book out about this by Richard J Herrnstein called The Bell Curve. It about 20 years old and was pretty controversial. On Amazon if anyone is interested.

That staticbrain link used as a reference doesn't exist, and the entire site consists only of a few pro gold videos. Figured it was bullshite in listing philosophy majors as having higher IQs than engineers and computer science majors.
