Nobody made you post your opinion here bro. Sorry people disagree.

And to your point about traveling, I've been from the Florida panhandle all the way to Houston, so I've seen some shite bro.

I can agree with that, but I admittedly have come to hate all big cities including Denver where I recently spent a few years. At least cities like Salt Lake and Denver get 4 distinct seasons and have amazing outdoor recreation very close by. What they consider outdoor recreation here is walking up some fricking stairs to see a body of water. For real, I was brought to do that yesterday and the person was out of breath by the top of the stairs. I chugged a 6 pack of IPA's and blasted a few American Spirits on the way up and was ready to go

I've been all over. If you're really a cool person, you will find the cool side of any place you may find yourself.

If you're a miserable fraud, you will be miserable wherever you go.

that was obviously bait and very easy at that

I know I am dogging some of you peoples city but any suggestions on how to make this more fun would be appreciated. I just want to get hammered, be able to bring the dog, and have a decent wifi signal to get some work done

I'm going to climb some tiny limestone cliffs at Barton Springs greenbelt tomorrow for anyone interested in checking out sport climbing. I have extra harnesses and you could probably find somewhere to rent shoes from. I'm mainly in a bad mood from the heat and having been in Squamish with 70 degree highs in the two weeks leading up to this

ETA - in other words, I am being a baby back biatch

Shitty weather, what they consider a hike or being active is laughable, and the people think way too highly of it.

You're from NOLA and giving shite to Austin about its weather and active lifestyle? You're an idiot.

I just moved here from New Orleans so here's my advice.

I just want to get hammered

Plenty of bars for that.

be able to bring the dog

The city is extremely dog friendly, at least on par with NO if not more.

and have a decent wifi signal to get some work done

You are in a tech startup hot zone, not to mention it is 2016.

Pinthouse Pizza S. Lamar. Nice, dog-friendly patio, free Wi-Fi and an extensive selection of house-made beers (including several high-octane IPAs). Kristin will take good care of you.

ABGB is cool, too. Less beer but it's all house-made and the food is really good.

Banger's on Rainey has an actual dog park and over 100 beers on tap. They don't brew their own, though. Also on Rainey is Craft Pride. Large outdoor area with a great Pizza truck and they showcase Texas beers.

Plenty of options. It's supposed to rain, though.
