Its decently bad in Gainesville. Liberal cities have no idea how to handle homeless issues. They are such weak human beings they cant enforce anything.

It’s gotten worse over the years, and poiliticians catering to it won’t help, but it doesn’t light a candle to Houston.

I don't think anyone is pretending they aren't human.
I know a few homeless folks. While there is a small percentage that is mentally ill, a larger percentage are there for alcohol/drug addiction reasons.
If you are permissive with homeless folks, you'll have a very large population of homeless folks and it does cause major problems. My town did a study and found that the homeless population cost downtown business over 3M a year.
So, what do we do?

They’ve only recently become the “place to be “. I have business there twice a year for the last decade. It’s a shell of itself, a once cool place destroyed. And it’s only getting worse.
