I'm sure there are people who would be willing to do a lot. I also think there are people who would do nothing. It's a cops job to judge a real threat. I think the fact that she was sitting in her car when she was dragged out is enough to say that she just wanted to be pissy to the cop. He should have laughed at her and gave her the ticket. I think the cop let his temper get the best of him.
My point is once you get out of the car, you're putting the cop on high alert. Could've the cop been more measured? Yes. As I stated originally, he needs remedial training.

She gonna get paid though from what I can see.....
How much you recon she will get?
Seems like a pretty sweet deal to get free money. Piss the police off enough so they "handle you bad" and then get paid
Of course, don't go reaching in your pockets for your pistol while this is going on

The moment she stepped out of the car, the cop's heart rate went from about 70 beats a minute to 140 beats a minute. How friggin hard is it to just act like a normal human? I get pulled over a solid three times per year because I do a lot of driving. Not once has a cop ever had to ask for my license and registration because it's always in my hands on the steering wheel 0.07 seconds after stopping. Do black people think that police officers are there to just offer advice and recommendations? Is there nobody teaching them at a young age how to act around police officers? I am beyond sick of this crap. It's every other day now. Jimmies are rustled.

Flight risk? Really? For a simple traffic stop for a thin, short, female? And I'm the retard?
So we can make assumptions based on her being a small, skinny female but not about her being black?
Got it

You mean when he told her to get out of the car after and she said I am getting out and he gave her one half second. Before yanking her? Let me put it this way, the chief said he was wrong.
Let me tell you about a Police Chief. They equal damage control. If you think for a second that Police Chief believes the bullshite he is dolling out then you are naive. I live in a family full of cops. Police Chief equals political position.

I drive by a kids camp today and the teacher was leading them in the "hands up don't shoot" stance. She failed to realize that I recorded her dumb self. She also failed to realize that she was disrespectful towards another city employee and as a part time summer employee you get fired for that. Valuable lesson to her. I never spoke to her, just told her my boss

Let me put it this way. Right or wrong legally. In this day and age of heightened awareness, BLM and dash/body cams this officer's tantrum/use of force/self defense just got him out of a job. No way the Chief lets this go.
If he truly felt threatened, he should have backed off and called for another unit so they could handle her without it being so dramatic. Notice I said dramatic and not excessive because, as someone said earlier, there isn't a pretty way to get a squirming person in handcuffs. Even a little skinny lady. This guy screwed up. Maybe not in the legal sense but his sense of timing and public appearance is the worst.

They all have the "I'm a victim mentality" and our court system Always agrees because you know "racism"! Thanks Obama and frick all of race baiters. It will only get worse. Once you open a can of worms they just keep squirming out!

Applicable to both the woman and the officer here. The problem is more is expected of the cop, as it should be

When people are resisting it is simply not possible to not be violent. You can't bring them under control and arrest them without being violent, and he was not excessive IMO.
She got what she asked for, the big dummy.

Cop: "Get out of the car."
Victim: "I'm getting out. Let me get out. Do not touch me. Do not touch me."
Cop: "Get out of the car now."
-- Cop slams woman to the ground --
Victim: "Ow! Oh my god!"
Cop: "Put your hands behind your back."
It's a trend. Cop issues order that can't be with (he was physically blocking her exit of the vehicle) and then attacks the victim.
This has jack-shite to do with race and more to do with garbage in uniforms.

the word "can" implies that i have the right to say what i want. that doesn't mean i'll do it. but to act like verbal dissent justifies violence on the part of the police is very authoritarian of you.

You don't have the right to talk over a cop giving you orders to comply. If you want to talk and not listen, you get a resisting arrest charge. It was pretty simple and she was the one that made it complicated.
Cop should have a demerit and remedial training and hopefully he doesn't lose his job.
Also, he was on his 3rd request when she talked about getting out of the care instead of doing it.

Videos like this just prove the cops are in a no win situation.
If the cops had managed to subdue Alton Stirling, we still would have had a video saying...
"Cops violently taze and arrest black man for selling CDs"
And the Tangerines of the world would still be throwing the cops under the bus.

The cop quite obviously escalated the situation and gave her an order she physically could not comply with. I'm not sure how anyone could watch the video and think "Damn, this cop did a good job". It would take some serious mental gymnastics to think that.
She even attempted to comply just moments before he slammed her to the ground. Not good enough for Mr. Hothead.

A no win situation? All he had to do was step back and lower the tension by saying something to the effect of "ma'am, would you please get out of the car or shut your door and stay in the vehicle?"
