Winston Churchill and Franklin Roosevelt issue a charter that lays out their thoughts for the future, the Soviets are in trouble on two fronts, and Adolf Hitler repeats his orders to those who failed to heed them the first time.

It feels like Churchill basically willed the British people through the resistance against the Nazis. Imagine if they hadn’t had such a stubborn and determined leader.

the battleship that carried Churchill there, the HMS Prince of Wales, was later sunk by Japanese planes off Malaya in December 1941. It was just three days after pearl harbor and was the nail in the coffin of the reign of battleships. air power and carriers ruled the seas now.

Commies had been around long before WW2. The Communist Party in US was around since WW1. I’m not sure post 40’s Soviet and Chinese Communism affected the US any more than before. They only erode their own societies, which may have even been good for the US. Tough call though, with the Cold War and all.
