ATT soliciting at 7:15pm during a flash flood watch...

Anyone else had a couple claiming to be with ATT knocking on your door recently. I make it habit not to answer the door if I’m not expecting someone. A man and woman in rain gear in the middle of the downpour earlier pulled into my driveway and knocked. Drove off after a few minutes and did not stop at any other homes on their way out of the neighborhood. Returned just now in a different unmarked car and banged on the door. Without opening I asked what they wanted. He says something about ATT services. I told Them if I wanted something from ATT I would call them.
Anyone had this happen recently?
Should I prepare to be robbed at gunpoint later tonight?

Got suckered into an “interview” with one of these companies. Ended up being an 8 hour door to door “on the job interview”
On your end it’s legit. ATT contracts these people out to try to sell their products. But it’s a legal pyramid scheme essentially. 100 percent commission based, you work 6 days a week knocking on doors until 8pm at night which is super unsafe once the sun goes down. And the end goal is to open your own version of this in 6 months.
They did not warn me at all to what I was getting into, and when I showed up they offered to drive me bc they know people are gonna bail ASAP once they figure it out

Thanks for the info. They must really need sales to be knocking on doors in the dark in the pouring rain. There is no way I’d ever sign up for that.

It wasn’t called that but it’s something similar.
There’s a ton of them if you go to BRs Indeed page. They all have generic business names that mean nothing and will have a long paragraph that have all these business buzz words that mean literally nothing and tell you nothing about the job

Why are people so scared of answering your own door? I remember when I was a kid it was so exciting when the doorbell rang...

No warrants. I live on a dead end road in the middle of nowhere. And everyone I know calls ahead of time before coming. Nobody just “passes through” down our road.
