You'd rather live in Atl than live on Ono Island?

Well that's just not me

I agree with everything you said.

None of those places is all charm and some of Norcross is very charming.

We lived in Woodstock and Canton for a while and the mountains were close. It was really nice, but the commuting scene is dreadful. The lack of effective transportation planning is amazing. The ARC and GDOT have failed Atlanta.

Which "Eastside" neighborhoods? East Atlanta proper?Va Hi? You're not getting to Dunwoody in 25 mins in the morning from any of thone areas.

And you called somebody else a "retard" and "dumbfrick"?
400 SB is a complete cluster in the afternoon as is 285 E/S

Where would be some good places to live if you worked in the Dunwoody area?

If you're not wealthy and don't want to live in an apartment, then you might want to give East Cobb or Chamblee a look. Some of the older-construction houses in those areas are still pretty reasonable. Chamblee's pretty Mexican, though.

I'm hoping my next house is in Avondale Estates. It's in town, by MARTA, and still semi-affordable.

The way Huntsville is growing it’s basically going to have all the activities I’d ever want to do in Atlanta and none of the cost or time on the road required to do it. Just food for thought.

And I don’t see Atlanta with a MFn rocket on the side of the interstate

Yup.

I think the heart of Atlanta is right where Buford Highway, Lenox Road, and Cheshire Bridge all meet. You are 3/4 mile from absolutely anything.

Probably my absolute favorite place on the planet.

Looking to transfer there, Corp office is in Dunwoody area. Are most of these in NW area of ATL? Those seems to be the better areas from what I am seeing.

So many good places around Atlanta. Great craft beer scene. Dahlonega has wineries and mountains. Appalachian Trail. The Beltline and College Football Hall of Fame. SEC championship football. 5-7 hours to awesome beaches. Great suburbs- Woodstock, Canton, Acworth. Great weather. Four seasons. Traffic nothing like Houston or other cities of similar size. And now it just got better with one less person!

Atlanta is cool. There's a Jamaican place by the airport, I think in Union City, that has to be the best food I've ever had.

NE quadrant is the best part of Atlanta, IMO, but it does seem like the NW quadrant is taking off. That's where the new baseball stadium is located.

Where I live right now is right at 12 O'Clock on 285.

East Cobb is NW quadrant... barely.

The other places mentioned are either due north suburbs (e.g. Alphareta and Roswell) or NE quadrant (Chamblee, Sandy Springs, Buckhead, Brookhaven, etc.)

I do agree that if you find Atlanta boring that’s probably more of a reflection on you than the city.

Like any other big city.

Disagree with you on that one.
