When the Texas lottery got real big a long time ago a Japanese firm bought every combination for millions of dollars. It turned out that they had to split it with someone else and lost millions.

I wasn't thinking so much that specific combo but the odds of any 6 consecutive numbers being pulled.

Don't half the ticket sales go to the jackpot? So the pot would immediatey go up by 175.3 million??

I believe a company in Australia did it but it was only 5 million combinations or something

Read something on this strategy once, seemed like there was not enough time to do it, between filling out that many cards in the correct sequence then buying that many tickets would take several machines several days of non stop printing

Stop with the myths .
I know most of this is wishful thinking/ jealousy ,but most or many Powerball or Mega millions winners are not broke within a few years.
Maybe a few state jackpot winners where jackpots begin at $250,000 ( like Louisiana) can have issues ,but.....
Headline grabbing myth/exaggerations about these winners.

Not sure if the rule is still there, but years ago, when La first started the state lottery, there was a rule that the cards had to be filled in by hand also.

who fills out the cards and actually picks numbers.
Just go in, hand em 2 dollars, and let em randomly print u some numbers.
No thought should go into this. There is no science to it, pure luck.
Sidenote: how many winners won off of randomized numbers vs those who "play the same lucky numbers" or "so and so's birthday".... would be interesting to see

70-80% play quick pick according to their website.
70-80% winners play quick pick.
Its random. Whether you pick the numbers or the computer.

I would be sick to my stomach if the numbers I played last week won this week.. That's why I would always play the same numbers
