Men's Health - Is This the Most Dangerous Food for Men?
quote:
For Price, a retired U.S. Army intelligence officer who once flew attack helicopters in Vietnam, these changes were more than just physically uncomfortable. "Men aren't supposed to have breasts," he says today in a quiet Texas drawl. "It was like my body was feminizing."
A lean and wiry man, the breast development stood in stark contrast to the rest of his body. But it was not Price's only symptom. His beard growth had slowed, he'd lost hair from his arms, chest, and legs, and he'd stopped waking up with morning erections. "My sexual desire disappeared," he says. "My penis—I won't say it atrophied, but it was so flaccid that it looked very small in comparison with the way it used to be. Even my emotions changed."

but you keep on pushing that soy, champ. let me know how that works out for you.
meanwhile i'll continue to enjoy fish chicken pigs and cows as we were intended.

Just because some washed up actor looks one way, you say people shouldn't lose weight when they get a little older and you want to know the cutoff age?
Jillette was never an actor, and if pulling down $20 million a year, writing multiple best selling books, and selling out multiple shows five days a week is washed up, well, damn.

How am I pushing soy? You do realize there are plenty of vegan and especially vegetarian sources of protein other than soy right?

ok. what exactly?
are you going to argue most vegans and vegetarians dont include a massive amount of soy in their diets to make up for a lack of real protein?
what are they opting for instead?

Based on that link, if you're not fat to begin with, you won't have the loose skin problem.
That's true, and that's why I control my weight. I don't want to hit 55 and say, "Aww frick, I've got to lose 60 pounds, look like a skeleton wearing a skin suit or die."
Better to try and stay trim than take a bunch off later in life and look like a skeleton wearing a skin suit.

Tempeh, hemp, beans, along with a bunch of other stuff.

Tempeh,
Most vegans and vegetarians I know eat mostly whole food meals and not a ton of soy. You can also get hemp tofu though instead of soy and seitan is very poplular as well.
Most vegetarians eat eggs and dairy so it is very easy to get plenty of protein.

Being fat is one thing. UT being obese is where I draw the pine.

quote:There should be several charts for different body types. I'm 6'1 170-175 and at 185 I'm a fatass. I have a pretty slight frame. It's not even that I'm skinny. My buddy on the other hand is 5'11 and looks fit at anything below 200. He can walk into a gym for the first time in two years and bench 275 even though he doesn't look like he's ever regularly lifted weights. Having one chart for all the body types is ridiculous.
I get your point, but I hate those charts. It fails to consider anyone with a hint of muscle. If you lift heavy shite that whole chart should be shifted 15 lbs to the right.

Sharptons head never lost weight. Now it looks like he has a 130 body with a 200 lb melon.

I met Al Roker at the USO event in DC. He looks like he was in a concentration camp.
