I am still a virgin at age 24. Yes it depresses me and my self esteem and self worth have gone down. It is not for lack of trying , i do try. people(men and women ) have made fun of me for it

Stop trying so much and/or thinking about it and usually that's when it'll finally happen. I barked up that tree with my first "serious" girlfriend for like 2 years. Lo and behold, about a month after I gave up even trying and told her I respected her wishes, she randomly asks me if my parents are home (they weren't), and tells me to head straight home from the movie theater instead of stopping for ice cream. I was having to restrain myself from acting like a dog who's owner just broke out some fresh tennis balls for a fetch session.
There was nothing special about the night, I think just finally letting that pressure off her and having a good night without that lingering in the back of her head finally made her realize that she kinda wanted it too. We were 17 btw.
After I took her home later that night I had to go pick up several friends and celebrate the awkward but monumentous occasion. At 17, I was one of the last in my group of friends to lose it - and thinking back now that's scary as hell if you have kids.
Edit: I would suggest the bold portion above to anyone having "issues" with this. Best advice ever given to me by my uncle.

Well, ignore them. If we are getting serious on the OT, it takes quite an insecure adult to put someone else down to make themselves feel better.
Life is all about self-improvement. If you want something, find out how to get it. Find out what is keeping you from the end zone and change it. It's nowhere near too late. You have many years of boning ahead of you, my friend.
Confidence/boldness, a steady job, a good sense of humor, and a clean apartment (seems silly but it's 100% true) go a long way. Happy hunting.

Solid advice for anyone right there. Just don't let the "pressure" of it get to you, her, or your relationship and it'll go a long way towards making it happen, especially if she's inexperienced or a virgin herself. The less you act like you care/it bothers you, the better off you are either way.

I agree. Unless the first chick you bone has had sex with a dozen dudes she probably won't even pick up on the fact that she's your first unless you tell her, and I see no benefit to doing that.
