My son is 13 and finally told me this year he stopped believing 4 years ago, so I wrapped all his stuff and put it under the tree this year.

Frick all that staying up late playing Santa

I stopped believing in Jesus (which is Santa for adults) by my late teens. The difference between Santa and Jesus is Santa has to accomplish an actual task at a very specific time and we can all hang out by the tree on Christmas Eve night and see if his fat arse shows up. Folks have been waiting 2,000 years for Jesus to do his thing and it still hasn’t happened - nor is it going to.

I bet you're fun at parties.

When I found out Santa was not real, it made me question Jesus. I decided to just ignore the old testament and that made it better. The BS is in the Hebrew section of our bible. I think if the OT was no longer canon there would be less fallen Christians.

My parents tried to trick me with santa-claus but I never believed in it.

I dated a girl who wanted me to be with her when she told her daughter he wasn't real. They started fighting in the car, so she just blurted out Santa clause isn't real. Her daughter stopped and started crying, it was completely psychotic

Yes. And it’s better since I can sleep in on Sundays.

While he didn't still 'believe' in Santa my exwifes brother in law (i never called him my brother in law) had to keep up the illusion that he believed. I was at his moms house one exmas eve as 'santa' showed up and laid out gifts then would cover the gifts with several blankets until morning. And xmas morning she would give him (and the his wife)gifts from santa. I thought it was quirky and fun but there was no 'winking' that they knew who santa was.

A neighbor's son didn't find out until he was about 13+.
