I think it's rich you're assuming customer service workers aren't feeling 100x more demeaned when their boss tells them to suck up to a Karen customer.

I remember talking to a Yankee who had made her visit to New Orleans. She talked about how racist and "very 1950s" it is that all of the wait staff in the restaurants are black.
The irony of the "Mexican" restaurants in Baton Rouge is that a large percentage of them are owned by Arabs.
