Does law enforcement routinely pursue the drug dealer who supplied a drug that lead to an overdose?

I don’t really run in the drug circles and even I personally know someone that was treated after supplying to someone that OD’d and died. They definitely were not famous either. It’s not unheard of.

Maybe we can arrest a "doctor" prescribing "medication"?

They arrested two.

Agreed, and there should be a little thing called personal accountability. The guy was a life long addict. One way or another he was going to find the drugs and abuse TF out of them.

Sure. But you had two doctors illegally sell him controlled substances, charging much more than the medication was worth and laughing about it. Then you also had the guy’s personal assistant illegally administering the drugs to him. Perry found out about personal accountability in this episode. He’s dead. Now the guys who enabled him are about to find out too.

In his book Perry said he used to visit "home for sale", multiple ones, every weekend. He would then go to the bathrooms & rifle their medicine cabinets. The guy had self admitted problems. Blaming doctors who ripped him off may be legit, easy targets but he was always getting his fixes somewhere.

An assistant found Perry face down in his hot tub on Oct. 28, and paramedics who were called immediately declared him dead. His autopsy, released in December, found that the amount of ketamine in his blood was in the range used for general anesthesia during surgery.

WTH does ketamine in a hot tub? It’s literally a horse tranquilizer. At large doses the effects are so intense that you are completely sedated. I’m assuming he drowned. Surely he knew the effects of the drug, so why do it in such a high risk manner? Weird story.

The first rule a doctor is taught to abide by is "do no harm." If the allegations against them are true, the fact that he was able to get his fix from them means they violated their hippocratic oaths so they could earn a little cash on the side. I realize that might offend some libertarian sensibilities.

Lol. No they don’t.

The prosecutor in the press conference said they had tracked down and prosecuted something like 60 suppliers over some period of time. Maybe the past year.

Since he was famous, it makes sense they would try to get some publicity from going after the supplier. Maybe it will make some other shady doctors think twice.
