Why can’t a 10 year old and parents be at a Travis Scott show?

Just a brief glance at Sicko Mode and other of his top songs answers your question. Hoes and drugs are definitely things for 10 year Olds.

seriously...I watched a few videos from the event while on the can, all I see is suburban white kids

The videos I watched show all races. I wonder where some of these people live, because to me, it just looked like Houston teenagers. Hood dress would be popular for this event and popular among teens anyway. In Houston, there are also tons of black, Hispanic, Asian kids that hang out with white kids. Houston suburbia is very mixed and kids have all kinds of friends. We don’t look like New Orleans.

Scott one of those frickheads?

Yeah, then we have some poor parenting going on.

It’s music. A ten year old should be able to go to any concert his parents allow and not be crushed to death. Still not sure why I keep seeing so many people asking what a 10 year old was doing there

At a music festival at 9 on a Friday? Yeah, we must have had different parenting

There were a lot of shitty parents in Houston that day.

The concert never should have occurred. This aint that hard.

I agree, and again my original question still stands.

Would the company hired to provide security not shoulder some of the blame legally if their security was overwhelmed

You're moving the goal posts. A person shouldn't be crushed to death obviously, and I'm not even mad the place allowed 10 year Olds to be there. I'm more wondering what kind of shitty arse parent thought it was a good idea. Just watching clips from his previous concerts show a lot of high energy almost moshpitt situations, which again makes zero sense when you have small vulnerable kids.

Uh same thing

My parents weren’t taking me to see Motley Crue on a Friday night at 9

I wouldn't send my 10 year old to a rock show on a Friday night.

You know, 4th or 5th grader.

If someone was bringing their kid to a rock band that had similar lyrics and shows as Scott, I'd think they were shitty too.

"No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were: any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee."

This incident and this thread had me thinking. We have become so divided. Racial tensions have never been this bad in my lifetime. I admit, when i saw that there were deaths at a rap concert, i thought, must be a shooting or some kind of targeted violence. This kind of thing wouldn’t happen where “decent” folk hang out. But if it happens anywhere, eventually it happens everywhere. It was “our” kids who were there, too. It was everyone’s kids.

From the video I have seen, the security company personnel were victimized.

This festival has happened in 18 and 19 and there were a shite ton a problems. The parents were dumbasses for bringing a 10 year old there. It’s not the same type of event atmosphere you’d get inside NRG, Toyota, or MMP for a concert.

My own kid wanted to go. 15 years old and we told him frick no because it was bound to get out of hand.

Can you legally be “victimized” if your hired to be security for such a large event?

I’m not tying to be a dick if it’s coming off like that, I’m genuinely interested on how this legally plays out as far as security vs promoter

Sure.

Did you see the videos? There was no way to control the crowd.

It was a bunch of retarded young people who didn't want to follow the rules.

Good lord, enough with the pearl clutching. Teenagers have been doing this shite since we've had teenagers. It's tragic, yes, but the only broad takeaway of value is: what the frick happened to event security?
