Protip: The ramps underneath Tiger Stadium are not a safe place to be in a weather delay. It wouldn't take much to start a stampede. I take my chances staying in the stands.

I kind of wish that would have happened to us after that ending to the LSU game

I've heard the name a bunch, but never bothered to look who it is either.

Travis Scott is a POS. Kept on playing while dead bodies are literally being pulled out of the crowd

You removed the video but he stopped mid show several times to address people passed out in the crowd and to get security over to them.

Every teenager in Houston wanted to go to this concert. I know many kids that went to this. This is awful

Shows how sad the state of parenting is in our country.

No, just shows how shitty kids taste in music is these days...

Travis Scott played for 37 minutes after police declared a mass casualty event. He and the event producer need to go to jail.

Sounds like he is a piece of shite. Not necessarily culpable.

37 minutes after police “responded” to the casualty event.

And the police chief said that they chose not to end the show because of the possibility of a riot.

There’s plenty of blame to go around but you don’t have to stretch it

He likely had no idea it was a mass casualty event. If he was told and kept rolling, yea, a big deal.

The production company has a ton of questions to answer.

Hell, the police could’ve walked on stage and taken control - though you’d always rather the production team clue in an artist and have them collaboratively take the pressure off the crowd slowly

In the vids I heard a brief part of the entertainment. Its autotuned, overly produced crap.

Probably more about the event than the music.

Even worse is that 90% of the people there for his shitty music watch the majority of the show through their cell phones

37 minutes from when the responders arrived. He didn’t know it was that big of an incident and he stopped performing when he was notified. The police intentionally let the concert continue during that time frame for crowd control.

This was a horrible event but Travis Scott isn’t to blame.

the Chief of HPD said yesterday they are looking into all of this from a criminality stand point

there are rumors flying around houston social media that the reason the push started was because of the crowd reacting in a panic to some sort of attack. There were multiple people administered NARCAN after the episode, not just the one security guard

tox screens on the autopsies will tell us a lot

At 9:30 p.m. concert attendees begin reporting an ambulance moving through the crowd. A minute later, Scott acknowledged the ambulance, stopped performing to encourage the crowd to make room, then launched into one of his songs, “Upper Echelon.” He told the crowd he wants to “hear the ground shake.”

quote:

At 9:42 p.m. Scott stopped performing the song “Skeletons” to warn “we need somebody to help, there is somebody passed out up here.” Scott urged security to jump in as the beat behind him continued. After about 30 seconds, Scott moved on as the man was lifted conscious from the crowd. A minute later, fans began chanting “stop the show” as Scott resumed the song.

At 10:08 p.m. Scott and Drake launch into “Sicko Mode.” City officials said the concert ended at 10:10 p.m. But attendees said the show ended at 10:15 p.m. with the final song, “Goosebumps.” Scott had performed all his planned songs.

Well, if he encouraged fence jumping then he may be somewhat to blame.

He fully completed his set.

I’m not sure how the event didn’t address maybe at least cutting drakes appearance out and having him gone it down slightly on the fly if nothing else.
