We were told it will get ugly and there’s nothing that will stop it. The economy has to open at some point and it will mean widespread outbreak, again, as expected. I think general public will regain some normalcy, whatever that looks like, but the implications to senior care nationwide are massive. Those of you invested in REITs, buckle up.

So no admits? And what if they opt out of the vaccine? Pna and flu are optimal — and I won’t take it either (covid vax).

No admits is not sustainable for the industry. Expect stringent testing/admitting procedures as more readily available. Possibly multiple tests, likely with mandatory quarantine.

Well I can tell you that's bullshite right there.
I was watching the news with my wife and one of the top stories was a conversation with an undercover employee at a LTC facility and he said they've been taking a body or more a day out for a week.
Then five minutes later they run the stats by county and they show 3 deaths in the county where the LTC employee worked. I looked at my wife and said, "Did you see that? WTF?"

Just took elderly MIL out of a rehab/nursing home setting where she was after an injury. Have her at our house until we can get her into assisted living facility. That facility just administered a Covid test as a requirement of her admission.

My Grandpa has lost 3 on his hall of 20
None virus related that we know of
I think a lot of residents are going to give up, especially ones confined to the bed

On the contrary, it’s highly likely these individuals are responsible for spreading this to/inside facilities. We’ve banned all staff from at least one third party agency as precaution after their staff reportedly tested positive.
