Natchez circa 2007 was GOAT with Dimples, Doc Biglove's, Bowie's, Andrew's Tavern and the original Fat Mamas. Downhill ever since.

Buddy of mine loved Natchez. It's on my list of small towns to go to.

I used to go there for work (years ago). Best meal I've ever had in my life was there. I was at a little hole in the wall and had their Catfish smothered in crawfish etouffee. I will always love Natchez, for that meal alone.

Bowie's Tavern. I walked down the hill but not much going on.

FYI The Camp Restaurant next to the Hill has a great burger.

However, Bowie's Menu drastically improved a couple years ago(they used to serve just Sysco truck shite).

"I was drunk the day my mom got out of prison
And I went to pick her up in the rain
But before I could get to the station in my pickup truck
She got run-ned over by a damned old train
."

Requisite at finer Mississippi weddings and Karaoke there as well.

Watched the Dbyrd catch at the Balloon Race Sports Tent that year. Walked out of tent after the win to Catch BTE announcing the win to about 3k fans out there on the Bluff.

That was one of my favorite weekends of all time. Natchez in 07 Was some fun. Andrews and Bowies would stay open 72 hours straight for the Balloon Race weekend.

One time, My parents came to visit us and stayed at the Eola. They were having coffee on the balcony at 530 AM when a brawl started on Main. They could barely see but could hear everything from 4 floors up.

They came over about 730 and we knew it Had to be Dimples letting out.

However, old timers tell me the 70s-80s in Natchez were absolutely wild with more business there and lots more people.

My name is pretty big clue. Was married to a Natchezian for 5 years, lived there 3.
I'm a complete trainwreck in the eyes of most folks from there. Should be easy to figure out. I'll be there tomorrow night with a kid in Big Maypole.

If you're friends with NatchezTiger17 then you can frick right off. Just messing. He gives me shite here but is nice IRL.

I've heard stories of the local airport getting steady private jet traffic from fellers that came to visit Nellie's whore house.

Yea it's easy to look at the buildings downtown and remember a time when everything was alive and kickin. Kind of like downtown BR 15 years ago. You could tell it was something special in the 70s or so before Oil&Gas crash.

I used to have a shirt I bought from Andrews that said "Follow Me to Nellies". People in BR were like WTF is that shite?

You forgetful frick. We've Discussed this. You didn't know me personally but you knew the gal and her boyfriend who brought that CycloCross race to Duncan Park back in 2011 or so. My ex and I hung around with them through mutual running friends.

Crazy how you think all eyes are on you when your situation is public and shameful. But just wait a few months. Someone else's dirty laundry will come out and one-up you like a boss.
