Yes, but this is a pretty neat map of over 600,000 that have been maped.

think it’s critical we develop a more robust way of spotting, tracking, and deflecting these things. Development of such is much more important than a manned landing on Mars or returning to the moon

We need to build border walls!

The funny thing about that is, it was a smaller one traveling with a larger asteroid that passed close to the earth.

At 328-feet wide, the asteroid, named 2019 OK, is the largest to get this close to Earth this year

Nothing to worry about. Now had they named it 2019 Oh shite, that would be a different story.

If it devastated the impact area's continent to nothing, and brought hardships to surrounding areas..undoubtedly leading to possibly 2 new superpowers along with the USA (assuming you didnt pick north america)

Where would you pull for ground 0 to be? And what 2 new countries become superpowers?

Argentina (following a war with Brazil)
Poland (they’re about the only European country with their shite together)

This wouldn’t have happened if we just stayed in the Paris Agreement.

not Michael Duncan

So it is 328 ft, got inside 45,000 miles.

That means at it closest it got within approximately 724,000 times its diameter to us.

That's like a baseball getting within 32.8 miles of the strike zone.

If you took the time to think about it in 3-D it is even less of a big deal.
