Assault on 18-year-old biracial woman in Wisconsin being investigated as hate crime

Looks like she fell and got road rash during the riots, didn’t want to admit that, and concocted a story. Should be interesting if the take in the link has merit. Either way, popcorn is popping.

i had to resist to responding to people last night asking "who would set themselves on fire in a hoax?"

*ETA: let me be clear, i'm not saying this new incident is a hoax (we don't have enough info). just saying a fake racist burning has happened before and it's not out of the realm of possibilities
that being said, this doesn't really pass the smell test. usually these incidents that are too good to be true turn out to not be anything like the original reporting

She was the driver but the "burns" are on the right side of her face.
