Teachers are some of the shadiest people I know. They don’t care if they get caught or not. They know nothing is going to happen to them.

I think there is a misunderstanding of what was being said.
The CDC and state Health Departments create and apply contract tracing guidelines and the schools follow those guidelines.
If a teacher is identified as being a close contact by those health officials then that teacher is forced to quarantine, or not report to work for the set period of time.
Could the teacher in OP's post be lying? Absolutely.
Could the teacher in OP's post have been identified as a close contact by health organizations and told not to report to work? Most likely.

How do you know the kid "allegedly" has COVID? Is it possible that the kid has had a COVID exposure which would expose the teacher and due to the school board's policy, require the teacher to not come to school but the karate class has a different policy?

So, a kid who has Covid was allowed to go to Karate by their mom who is a teacher? Then posted it on Facebook. What about the other kids in the class? I’m sure their parents can handle that.

How do we know the kid has COVID? OP states the kid "allegedly" has COVID. Who's alleging this.
IF the kid has COVID, Im sure the karate class would have a policy where the kid shouldnt attent BUT if the kid was exposed, maybe their policy is different. I do apologize, I don't know the current COVID protocol for every dojo in the state at the moment.
