Same here. My dad dropped dead in front of me and my 2 little sisters when I was 8 and they were 6 and 4.
My 2 sisters have pre-deceased me with the youngest one going first at 65 and the other just 3 years later.
I only knew one male grandparent, my dad's side, and he died when I was around 6. My granddad on my mom's side was long dead before I was born.
My grandma on my dad's side died when I was an early teen and on my mom's side when I was in my early 30's.
I'm 74 next week and have lost so many family members it would take me a while to post all the names.
It's the circle of life, plain and simple. Under normal circumstances, we're born, we live, we die.

I don't know man, once you've lived through it seeing something like that doesn't sting,
