I don't know man, once you've lived through it seeing something like that doesn't sting, it just is what it is. Most of the people I care about have gone on ahead at this point. I'll go where they go eventually.

Same. Grandparents long gone. Mom and dad gone 20 years. Lost a sister a few months ago. Lost 3 good friends in the past 2 years.
However we have two good kids and one awesome grandson. I’m ok with that now. And as you say we don’t really have a choice.

That nerve has been with me a very long time. No blood relatives left on the planet. Best man in our wedding died young from brain cancer. Wife couldn't have children.
