Do a lot of tourists like to get wasted and eat beignets? Sure.

All tourist aren’t from Bunkie and Monroe.
Millions of well educated weathy tourist come from all over the world.
Unlike your kind, they do research and find great restaurants/bars, and things to do all over the city.

Why, then, does the NFL keep awarding its biggest game to N.O., tied for the most hosting in the history of the game?

Has a dome and is one of the few cities with the stadium in the city. The ability to walk to the game from your hotel while i side a desirable hosting city isnt very common

Folger's roasters is in the east, they do way more than just Folgers though. Lots of national brands contract through that plant.

That is the dirty secret of food and most manufacturing today.

I think there only just a few assembly lines in China for TV production and they make all the TV’s for different brands.

As much as people dog New Orleans on this site, and I'm guilty as well but like Uncle Eddie said, "Louisiana without New Orleans would be Mississippi".

You can deny it all you want but it's true.

Because the only thing the city has is a street filled with drunks and druggies where people walk up and down for hours to get drunk and spend money. Outside of that there is nothing.

Looks amazing on TV. Job well done with the mirage. The city is still a garbage shithole.

Although I am not a Moreno fan, I am very optimistic that NOLA will trend in the right direction the next four years. The problem is is that it has decades of neglect to address, and that takes 1-2 decades to fix if done correctly

This one time I went to New York. The only thing that city has is a square that isn't even square with all of these lit up billboards where all people do is spend money and take selfies and eat at Bubba Gump. Outside of that it is nothing.
