Houston Chronicle
Mexican security officials say the Artist Assassins are the second criminal group to split from the city's main cartel this year due to internal conflicts.
In 2008, a major faction of the Sinaloa Cartel split from the powerful group, leading to a wave of gang violence in Mexico. The factionalism only worsened after the arrest of El Chapo in 2016 and his extradition to the U.S.
In 2016 and 2017, the number of homicides in Juárez rose by more than 200, from 543 to 773, according to a count kept by Channel 44-XHIJ. So far in 2018, more than 840 people have been killed in Juárez.

I wonder if these people ever think about the fact that they’d be dog meat if an actual trained military ever decided to go in and take them out.

These groups are actual trained military. Most are special forces from the Mexican military & trained in the US.

I agree but a large faction of those shite heads are former military. We trained a ton of them too.

Bush and reagan ran programs to train the cartels and provide military weapons to protect their drug empires back in the 80s.

Reagan was the brains and the cover. Bush was the muscle. If you have ever watched a single episode of Miami vice season 4 it's all there.

When my son was about three, we were traveling to New Jersey where the wife use to live for vacation and I pulled out a map for directions ( yes, this was before cellphones and gps) My wife put my son upfront for a moment to let him stretch, and he pointed to a spot on the map and said, that's where mommy was born.
He pointed to Columbus Ohio, the very place she was born, since her dad was attending Ohio St. at the time of her birth.
It was shocking to say the least.

Warning of impending violence in Juarez is about like warning of impending thunderstorms in Baton Rouge in July.
Those Ohio cartels are some serious dudes.

Then Obama did it under the Fast and Furious initiative. An unsuspecting US Agent lost his life as a result along as the Paris night club shooting.

And to make it even more interesting, back in the 80s & 90s, a lot of that training was taking place at Camp Claiborne just north of Alexandria.
