Is the gravitational pull of the moon strong enough to keep a satellite moving around it. My guess is they would be quickly pulled into the earth orbit. Best idea would be to land a stationary satellite on the surface at the edges of the dark side.

If NASA doesn't play Dark Side of The Moon for the live feed while they are in the blackout, then they should just shut the damn thing down.

The term "dark side of the moon" implies that it never receives sunlight, which is completely untrue.
Also, if anyone ran bad math and the moon instead slingshots them out into space, that would be a bad time.

Valid question. I would think they don't have an angle on anything they could do that with and don't consider it that big a deal.

Ya know, if we can send a man to the moon, we should be able to fix this problem.

We already have satellites orbiting the moon.

the lunar explorers will get a never-before-seen view of the dark-side of the moon.
The "dark side" of the moon is a misnomer. It gets plenty of light when our side of the moon is dark. It's the "far side of the moon." The NYPost should know that.

Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon (1973) holds the record for the longest chart run in Billboard 200 history, with over 990 weeks tallied as of 2025. It famously stayed on the chart for 741 consecutive weeks from 1973 to 1988 and hit No. 1 on April 28, 1973.

How could it not be different by at least a second or so. I dont buy it.

Tonight, the moon-bound astronauts and NASA mission control will face a nail-biting moment this evening when the Artemis II enters a deep-space dead zone that cuts them off from Earth for around an hour.
Conveniently, that will allow them to just put on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and just vibe out in total peace from Earth, and with time to spare.
