The only good I hope comes from these social experiments is increased voter turn out.

Vote? The passengers aboard the titanic were smart enough to do what needed to be done instead of sticking around and trying to fix the hole in the ship.

Anyone that has a chance to abandon that sinking ship needs to head to a lifeboat and hope they don't get boatjacked on the way out.

In fact, I think i'll make a titanic/nola meme this week. That city is done.

Let’s not jump to conclusions on young Tyrese. Why was this man so desperate that he resorted to taking a car without permission? Perhaps we should address the systematic disparities in equity that our communities foster by not making healthy foods available in lower income neighborhoods?

New Orleans has the government it wants and the government it deserves.

It’s amazing how the local government seems to actually want the city to fail. Other than the river, Tourism is the next biggest player for Nola’s economy yet the local leaders are

1) Restricting who can come and play (vaccine/negative test mandate)
2) Making it less enjoyable to come and play (mask mandate)
3) Not providing a safe place for people to come and play (rampant crime)

They are literally doing it to themselves AND they clearly voted for this. You CANNOT convince me that the vaccine and mask mandate ARE GOOD for business. More people are NOT coming to a city known for “Letting the Good Times Roll” because of the restrictions on literally let the good times roll. The crime just seems to be the dagger.

What constitutes failure is all relative depending on what your motives are. The mayor (PD) and DA deliberately caused the crime problem and now they are here to save everyone.

How are they planning to save everyone? The vaccine and mask mandates don’t seem to be working

Another example of existing gun laws not being enforced but will instead be used as an example as to why we need more gun laws...

Jason Williams is a joke. But we all knew that before he was elected. That poor kid.

Nola is looking more and more like a city in equatorial Africa by the day. Carjackings have been a normal occurrence in Africa for years now.

When the government won’t or can’t keep the feral, uncivilized humans from stealing from or harming the rest, everyone will eventually leave.

I cannot imagine living in a city where I have to worry about my wife and kids being potentially carjacked or robbed or otherwise victims of a crime when they leave the house.

Liberal policies are weak on crime and punishment and instead opt for a soft nanny state approach. Now the voters who would choose a harsh approach to correct the crumbling of their society have left, leaving behind a majority of people who look like the usual perpetrators so they don’t vote for government that would crack down on the crime. It’s sad, really. Suicide by tribalism.

I’m friends with some diehard uptown liberals.

I’ve now seen two of them on social media calling for the city council to ask for Jason Williams resignation.

So that’s a plus. Even they’re fed up.
