Kudos to the victim. The suspect is lucky to be alive. When he entered the home, the victim had every right to kill the suspect.

He won't be. He unlawfully entered the guy's home. Victim waited for him to enter his house before shooting. Victim is 100% in the right here.

Well it could be argued he could've locked the door when he went in and immediately called the cops. He got the gun, waited for the guy, shot, THEN called the cops. He basically ambushed the robber.

I don't think he was wrong, but I also don't think he was 100% right.

They both broke a commandment. Who are we to say which is worse?

Reserve constable and a haz-mat guy? This dude will have security at his house for weeks courtesy of the Sheriffs Office.

The only thing that could make this story better is if the homeowner actually had a couple of "mean dogs" in the house. After dropping the perp, he could have sicced the dogs on his arse, too.

An attorney who brought a case that shitty would end up getting a visit from disciplinary counsel

Read your last sentence. Then try to realize how dumb what you are arguing is.

Dude was getting robbed. He could have shot him in his house, car, driveway, middle of the road, at the ATM, in a Wal-Mart, at a gas station... Wouldn't matter.

Why’d he have to shoot him?! Why didn’t he just lock the door and call the cops and hide until the cops arrived? Racist.

I know you're trolling but I feel like the world has gone mad because I read comments like this all the time.

The fact that some people defend an individual who commits a violent crime disturbs me. It's like we have no right to defend our lives.

One of the things said on the news not mentioned in the article was that he told the victim he would kill his entire family

That would have been his death wish. Surprised this guy didn't end him for good.
