Everybody covered the most important topics except that it's also home to Feltner's Whatta-burger. That place has been open for over 40 years and right across the street from Tech.

Went to La Tech with a girl from there. She is really cool and a talented artist in Hot Springs. That's all I know.

Trump won Benton county with 62.9% in 2016 and 61.7% in 2020. I wouldn't call that a liberal takeover

I graduated from Tech. It was a great school and I really did enjoy my time in Russellville. And I'm not one to speak highly of Arkansas usually.

Grandma grew up in Morrilton. So we went to Petit Jean mountain every summer just went back for the first time in forever and can’t wait to go back. So I say PJM for the win but with obvious bias.

Our youngest is in high school and I'd actually prefer her to go to college in some smaller college town.

Henderson is in the same city as Ouachita Baptist and has a nice business school

Henderson is barely even a college anymore. They literally shuttered almost all of their majors except teaching degrees. They don't even have a science Dept anymore.

The Henderson that existed even 5 yrs ago doesn't exist anymore. Henderson was also viewed by eveyone in Arkansas as the school you went to when you couldn't get into anywhere else... And that included places like UAM, SAU, Tech, OBU, etc..

As for Russellville, it will probably be like almost all of the other small DII schools in Arkansas. It will be very boring at times and seem slow compared to almost any other college town of any size, but the people will be phenomenal and the schools likely won't be some Marxist shithole to brainwash your child into a fuscia-haired freak.

She will also probably meet some outdoor-loving, pretty decent football or baseball player from Arkansas or Oklahoma or Texas and end up settling in NW Arkansas and having a family.

shite could be much much worse. She could be getting recruited by Harding....

Blackwell says that's no problem. It really is stupid as shite that there are dry counties in this day and age.

Its mediocre. Pedestrian in a lot of ways-- though it does have the lone functional nuclear power plant in the state.

Interestingly enough, its also essentially become the geographic center of population in Arkansas; a roughly equal number of people live north/south/east/west of the city, within the state.

I think it’s known to be a really racist city? Didn’t google but remember something like that. May matter if you of African American heritage. I used to ride my motorcycle thru the area and loved it.

Someone said above white liberals haven't actually taken over the city so I wouldn't worry about racism towards black people.

Harrison is the notorious "sundown town". It's just south of Branson, MO near the state line

I worked at tech for 10 years. Live in the area.

Tech is pretty good, considering. It's a nice small college.

Also, there isn't one damn thing for a college student to do in Russllville, AR. Pretty tough to get in trouble at Arkansas Tech.

Russellville has enough black people you will interact daily. And even more Latinos. Might be 10 Mexican/Salvadoran restaurants. But is mostly white. Seems to have pretty good race relations. Dont have to pull forward for spicy at our Popeyes. All are friendly.

Mount Nebo is nearby and fun to explore if she likes the outdoors. Lake is nice as mentioned previously. Everything else on here I would consider accurate. Not the worst place but nothing I would go out of my way to see. Smaller version of Hammond. Maybe a larger Gonzales
