It’s happened before when an old man grabbed a cane out of his truck bed and got shot.

The whole practice of policing should be as regulated as the medical field.

Yeah and since every single situation is the same the outcomes should all be the same right?

Because I know someone will give me the split second decision argument. If he was that scared of someone grabbing a jug, he needs a new fricking job
Thanks Mr. Armchair Officer.

Why would anyone want to be a cop? Just look at some of the responses in here.
Meh, people here also hate teachers, nurses, lawyers, etc. Basically every professional service job.

Yeah this was just a couple of towns over from us. Lonoke PD has also had a problem in the past with a pedo issue.

Typical small town PD, he probably needs to be in jail for the rest of his life pending the story is true.

Those other professional service jobs don’t typically require you to put your life on the line. Meh

So it doesn’t go into park so you jump out? The car would keep moving at that point. Why not put it in neutral and keep your foot on the gas while turning the car off? Story seems pretty damn fishy to me.

Neither does being a cop, typically.

I don’t think they had the vehicle running because a gas can was probably only being used to stop it from rolling while the ignition was off.

Guess he never heard of an emergency brake? Why not just keep his foot on the brake while sitting in the car and waiting for the cop to approach?

I get he was young and probably nervous though. I got pulled over when I was 15 and driving with my friends on a learner’s permit when I shouldn’t have. I got out while waiting for my dad to arrive to follow me home to go ask him if I was getting arrested. Could’ve been me

Wait. Aren't your people trying to ban birth control? That's going to be the norm if so. STFU

Thanks. Continue living with your idiocy, there’s no help for you if you’re going to make the argument that policing isn’t a dangerous profession.

So I’m taking it it the police didn’t hire you, so you went the EamT route to play with lights and sirens
