It is of course not. First of all, there is absolutely no evidence of a worldwide flood, and significant evidence that there never has been in the past few thousand years. Geology, particularly with Deserts and sandstone disprove the worldwide flood theory
There is evidence. Interpretation, which is always biased by worldview, is where the discrepancies arise.
Plausible, scientific interpretation of the evidence
Skip the intro. Watch the first 30 minutes.
Also, check out the Ashley phosphate beds where human and dinosaur bones are found together. There’s lots of evidence. The real question is, do you really want to know the truth?

I think it is better to keep the focus on Science and logic of the Noah tale than going down deep religious rabbit holes. Those threads get anchored.
I understand, no worries. Believe me, I don't have the time to debate any of this.

However, Catholic, but not in any way religious.
Fair enough. I suspected, but was just curious. Catholics tend to have a more scientific basis behind their beliefs, at least in my interactions with them. I respect that.

The Ashley phosphate bed nonsense is peak quote mining creationist bunk. It had been utterly disproved as anything you think it is. If you read the actual FS Holmes paper on the Ashley that creationists quote mine, it places everything in correct geographical strata. It’s also based on from the 1870s that offered absolutely no evidence or data.
I’m not watching your video from “Young Earth Creation” YouTube channel.
There’s zero evidence for anything relation to Noah or Creationism.

I’m reading the description under that video at some of the things they debate and that Creation gets a check mark too and they are hilarious. I could probably debunk all of them without even having to hear the argument. Also the comments are great.
I’m sorry that you are so scientifically challenged that you believe such absolute craziness in the year 2023.

With the amount of cameras Walmart has? Yes, we do have proof. The lack of evidence is the evidence

I've gone down the rabbit hole on too many Gish Gallops in my lifetime. I'm too tired for one right now. Maybe if this had popped up when I was at the beach a week or two ago

Wow this thread is pure gold. The creation of the SEC Rant really increased the moron factor on this website.

I was holding out hope that these were just some clever trolls initially, but the stupid is bursting out of the woodwork in this thread.

Meh.
Back in the day we had 100 page threads on Evolution with luminaries like Bayou going for pages about Behemoths and Bijon talking about fighting demons with a flaming sword.
The South is full of uneducated rubes. It is what it is.

Our church is a southern Baptist denomination.
They don’t deny dinosaurs existed. Plus there’s too much evidence of them.
And why Satan put them there? He has FB at his disposal.

Seek and you will find. That is an accurate statement. You seek to discredit and disbelieve. I seek to affirm and believe. Mission accomplished on both fronts.
Do you ever consider the consequences of your ill-placed faith in fallen man? Before you even say it- no, the consequences are not why I believe. I believe, because I finally got to the point where I couldn’t run away from it anymore. So, I started seeking. My life has greatly improved since my return to Christ. I sincerely hope this for you, and everyone else. Perhaps to no avail, but if one person gets it- it’s worth all the ridicule and persecution in the world. I’m just trying to plant seeds- or water those planted by others.
It does frustrate me though, how most people can’t seem to make the connection between our collective disobedience to God and the sad state of affairs that is our world today.

Romans 1:20–22 (NASB95): 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
Romans 1:28 (NASB95): 28 ?And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper,

There’s something very poetic about getting lectured on morality by Captain Dickhead. Carry on.
