I remember playing St Helena in HS... their band had better athletes than their football team, who constantly took cheap shots at our star player.

It's them same guys in the Trump hats again. We've now heard reports of them outside a gay bar in San Bernardino, ULL, New York, UCLA, and various other spots. Something needs to be done.
I don't think you would let an opportunity like this occur and not address it on site. I know I would not, and having worked in both the service and retail industry in college I can honestly say that people who do in on-site generally have a legit concern, or at least feel they do. People who do it after the fact who were gracious when they left are generally doing it for attention and/or free stuff.

Well hopefully all the pigment lacking individuals will boycott the place so now we go in peace. Smart business move by Area 51.

They did. Those were attached to the letter.
WBRZ's article claims that the "full" complain is attached to the article and its a single page. Am I missing something?

Why on Earth is St. Helena schools taking a field trip to Area 51?
This is the real question here. My children in Ascension Parish schools get to go on one field trip a year and it is only to a place of educational value.

Considering that it's close to the end of the school year, does it really matter?

Does it matter that tax money is going to send students to a field trip to a trampoline park that has absolutely no educational value?
Yes, I think it matters.

My kids goes on 3-4 field trips a year. Mostly educational. Private school in BR however

That's some dramatic letterhead

For fricks sake man, you're really upset that tax money goes to make kids happy?

During school? Yes.

You misspelled "Nevada".

Jesus. So what about playgrounds, or toys or dessert at lunch? Any of those that we should nix as well?
Posted on 5/19/17 at 2:02 pm to LucasP
If it didn't get captured on a phone, I call bullshite. Y'all know they always quick to record everything.

I don't have a problem with playgrounds at school because obviously kids need recesses throughout the day. That is totally different than field trips with no educational value. Take them to the zoo or the aquarium - something that is both fun and adds some value to their education. That's literally the entire point of a field trip. Hell, I wouldn't even care if you brought a HS physics class to Area 51 to take measures and run experiments.

That's fair I guess, but it's obviously an end of the year celebration kind of thing. It might be a reward for well behaved kids, who knows? It just seemed a bit Scrooge-ish saying "no tax dollars for fun".

The actual letter says statements from the students and teachers are attached .
