I can't have live cultures, mine are dead

Depends on which one you get.

Seriously there is a ton of info about this on the CDC website.
quote:
CDC recommends use of any licensed, age-appropriate flu vaccine, including inactivated influenza vaccines [IIV], recombinant influenza vaccines [RIC] and live attenuated influenza vaccines [LAIV] during 2018-2019. The nasal spray flu vaccine (LAIV) is again an option for vaccination during the 2018-2019 season.

I’d never pressure anyone to get a flu shot unless they or a loved one are immunocompromised or somehow at risk of complications.
This includes those who are (or have contact with) very young, very old, pregnant, have any chronic health conditions (diabetes, asthma, cardiovascular disease), school kids/teachers, health care workers, cashiers...
Therefore everyone not allergic to flu vaccine needs the flu vaccine. Many thousands of people die from influenza complications every year and your flu vaccine can decrease that risk to others. Not eliminate, but decrease.
I’m a fan of vaccines. Anyone suspicious of them should consider living in a time when everyone knew someone killed or permanently disabled by a vaccine preventable disease.

Yes. Got the flu last year and thought I was going to die.

Sounds like she got the flu.

My Dad did the flu shot.. he ended up getting real sick and lost a lot of weight. Enough that he fit in his WW2 army field jacket. He then had a major stroke and was bedridden for 2 years until he died.

I’m so sorry this happened. Did the doctor say it was because of the flu vaccine?

No formaldehyde for me please. Aluminum. Flu shot's efficacy and long term effects have not been studied enough for me. Think about it. They guess the strain in the spring. Inject some test patients with the vaccine to see if they produce antibodies. Antibodies against what? Maybe they possibly guessed right out of the 200+ strains of flu. Risks don't outweigh benefits to me. Sensationalized in the media to cause 40-60k per year. If you look at those numbers, they are only that high because they lump flu deaths with pneumonia deaths.

I assume you’ve done a properly thorough, skeptical literature review. I won’t attempt to convince you to change your opinion.

Yeah well you should know from your reasearch that a big lump of those pneumonia deaths result from influenza.
Anyway, have you read up on all the other sources of aluminum exposure in our daily lives? How much does the minuscule amount of aluminum salts in an annual flu shot affect our total aluminum exposure?

Got the flu last year and it sucked a big fat dick. So I got one this year already

Yes. Got the flu last year and thought I was going to die.

Had the flu in 2009, and I remember the year, it was horrible. Have gotten a flu shot ever since. I’m also 67 and have sick with allergies and this crud going around that starts with a sore throat then nasal and lung congestion. I’m wondering if I should get my flu shot now or wait until I’m recovered?

Over 80K people died last year in the USA due to flu.
But, I am a still no go for the shot. For some reason every time in the pass getting it, I came down with the flu within two weeks of that shot.
They say one can NOT get the flu from the shot.

The flu shots are a scam and rip off.
Had an older co worker get one and then later in the year got a bad cold/something and could not shake it off. It took him like 2 months to finally get completely over it, and the guy is like 75.
I've never had a flu shot and I haven't been sick from the flu since I was a kid/teen.

frick the flu shot. Last time I got it, I got the flu. It’s a government conspiracy. They don’t want our life spans increasing anymore due to SS and Medicare being broke
Not to mention, Big Pharma
The flu shot also gave me AIDS

Yes. I got it from my doctor...not Walgreen's. Get yours you dirty bastard.

I have taken the flu shot twice. I have gotten the flu twice. The years that I got the shot is when I got the flu. I am not too much of a casino gambler or sports bettor but the odds look like I get the flu when I get the shot.
