I haven't seen a Clorox product or hand sanitizer in 6 weeks. My 2 bars of Lever 2000 I found in late March are the real MVPs

No, it's silly to do but I also wear glasses and the mask makes my glasses fog when I breathe.

I have to put my glasses on my head when shopping and put them down over my eyes just when I need to read something.

I am convinced my lack of sterility makes me immune to everything.

Me too. Most germaphobes I know are generally pretty sickly.

Nah, went to a couple stories today and only about half of the people that I encountered had masks on. But I also live in a parish of ~250k with only ~400 confirmed cases.

Nobody cared who I was until I put on the mask.

Good lord.

Can you elaborate as to how any of this is objectively wrong? You're laughing at it because it goes against cultural norms and not because of anything logical.

If you want to be as safe as possible, you either: disinfect all your shite before you get back in the car to go home or you wear the mask and gloves home and disinfect everything before you go inside.

Which is why wearing a mask is a futile exercise. There are so many different avenues to get infected by a virus, wearing a mask and gloves alone does almost nothing to reduce your chance of infection. Besides wearing a mask, gloves, and disinfecting everything you bring into your house you also need to remove all clothing while wearing mask, and gloves, then properly remove your mask and gloves ( something I haven’t seen a single person do correctly) disinfect your body and put on fresh clothes, and do this every time you re-enter your home.
