Even for drive through, hardly ever do I say "I need a minute." I order as soon as they are ready
This is where the problem comes in. I may say "I want a regular big breakfast and a large coffee." They will say, every fricking time, "Do you want pancakes wif da big breakfuss?"
I already answered that when I said a regular big breakfast. How can I stop this assault on humanity?

I get really rustled when someone says "I'm gonna do" instead of "I would like" when ordering food.
That's not what I meant. However, I do say, "Going to get my hair did" when I get a haircut. I don't care though, and that's what I say. Sry it pisses you off, but don't know why that rustles you.

For the life of me, I can't understand how someone can not have an idea of what they want before they go to a restaurant. Especially drive thrus. How do you get there and not know what you want?
I could understand if you have kids but a single grown adult and you need time?

I consider myself as efficient as a food orderer... but I do not feel like this makes me better than anyone else... that is a level 12 of the douche bag brotherhood that I have not yet attained.

Because restaurants serve a variety of different dishes. Do you order your idea of what you might want or what you actually feel like eating? Is that too hard to understand? People don't eat the same shite every time they go somewhere. I mean all you do is think about what you are going to order in the car on the way there? I'm having trouble understanding why this is a big deal

I am very efficient. The GF is fricking terrible at it. She'll ask the dumbest fricking questions and over-complicates shite every time.
"Is the caesar salad good?" - It's a God damn ceasar salad. They pretty much all taste the same.
"Whats better the hamburger or the bacon cheeseburger?" - Are you serious right now?
"What do you recommend?"
"The Blackened Redfish with creole crabmeat butter sauce is amazaing. I highly recommend it."
"Oh, well I think I'm going to get a burger."
-Bitch, dont ask what he recommends if you're going to pay no heed to his advice.

Yes, I'm an efficient food orderer. I also order for everyone at the table/car. I know what's best.

My idea of what I want is what I want to eat, unless something new just happens to catch my eye on the menu. I don't understand this big process of deliberation. It's food, not a life insurance policy.

It doesn't matter. I'm usually with the wife. For you single guys out there... this is how it goes.
Waiter: are you ready to order?
Me: Yes I am. Honey, are you ready?
Wife: Could we just have a couple of minutes? I haven't had time to read every single word of this menu b/c I've been posting pictures of it on instagram.

I would argue that she needs to run from her a-hole of a boyfriend. But that's just me.

We should probably just run from each other and make it easier on both of us.

Here's me and my wife:
Waiter: Are y'all ready to order?
Me: Yes I am, honey, are you?
Her: Yes, I'm ready.
Me: I'll have a 12 oz ribeye Med Rare.
Her: I'll have what he's having.
Waiter: Ok
Her: Wait, what did he order, I wasn't paying attention.
Waiter: A steak, med rare.
Wife: Ewwww.. I don't want that. Let me look at the menu. Give me a sec.
Me: I'll be right back, going to the bar for a few shots. Y'all work this out.

Most places, I can order food just by pointing. No hold this, extra that, this stuff on the side nonsense. Me and one of my co-workers sort of pride ourselves on that. We used to have two people we worked with who seemed to try to out "high maintenance" each other. I remember one time at Red Robin, those two embarrassed us by making all kinds of customizations to their orders. Extra avocado, no mayo, Swiss instead of cheddar, etc. It's not like there aren't 25 different hamburgers already on the menu. And then of course bitched about it when it wasn't right.

Bacon makes everything better

Sounds amazing but is likely the most expensive thing on the menu if the owner is training his staff correctly.

Doesn't mean she didn't take his advice into consideration, but maybe she wasn't feeling the fish!
