Not really but I haven't really bought anything of note in a while and haven't noticed a change at the grocery store yet.

Same here. If I needed to make a large purchase it may be different, but I’m not eating differently or anything. To be fair, I am not feeding a family and when we dine out it’s more for social reasons, so I haven’t really noticed price hikes. I am sure if I was feeding 5 mouths it would be much more noticeable.

If by salmon you mean actual fish, and "beef" includes tube steak, you may have just posted an accurate statement.

I’m certainly not eating out as much.

Bought Raising Cane's for the first time in a few years, first thing I noticed was that each combo was probably $2.50 more expensive than it was a few years ago.

- Put off buying a car, will keep old one for a while. Car prices are crazy right now.

- put off house/condo hunting, will stay in current apartment, which I don't like but I don't even want to move to a new apartment because rent has gone up 20 - 30%.

- Put off buying some random other stuff because of sticker shock.

- I'm starting to change my eating habits. It's not that I can't afford the few extra bucks for fast food/ take out / groceries, but rather using it as an excuse to improve my diet, nutrition and eating habits. Ironically, I think a lot of people have probably let their personal health deteriorate during the pandemic. They successfully "hid" from the virus, but they gained 20 pounds sitting around the house 24 hours a day eating crap food, watching TV and allowing their biochemistry to deteriorate.

We put off some renovations and a pool but a lot of that was driven by the COVID surge I think.

I can tell prices are up at the grocery store on some stuff, but so far it's pretty negligible. Haven't noticed any hikes at restaurants, electronics, etc.

Restaurant prices have gone up at least 20%. Every time we go out to eat I’m shocked by some of the prices

I went to Saritas last week while the wife was out of town. A singe chicken fajita and a coke was over $19! That’s ridiculous.

On a much grander scale, I have a friend who stopped his plans for building a new house due to marked increases in home building.

I was talking to a customer the other day who mentioned he had been looking into building a new house. He has a friend with a major lumber supplier who he could by limber from that would allow him to buy it at a far lower price than if he went to a building supply place. His friend advised him even with his “buddy discount” that if he tried to build a house right now, the overall cost of building materials would cause him to have negative equity by the time the house was complete.

Not going to the shooting range as often as I normally would. Don't want to have to buy any ammo now. Wish everyone else would quit buying it all up.

Try being a single man in this cesspool of a political environment. I'd say I'm a decent looking guy, but limited in the wallet so that doesn't help me lot. But regardless, it's frustrating as hell to finally find a woman that checks the boxes of looks and not crazy (on the surface) but discover early on that she's a freaking liberal. I can't do it. It's a deal breaker even though I don't consider myself driven by politics, I'm not listening to some dumb 'woke' bitch talk about that nonsense all the time.

A woman’s political leanings have never been more important than they are right now. Under no circumstances would I recommend my Son to be involved with a liberal woman.

My suggestion to you is don’t compromise.

This is the second thread today you’ve figured out a way to weasel this into. Who are you trying to convince you are being healthy, us or yourself?

Don’t worry, I’m not. I’m at peace with myself and not going to frick that you with a looney lib around all the time. I’ve recently moved to Houston and trying to work the Asian and Hispanic angle now. I think I can find happiness and love without any chance of a feminazi with those cultures. Mostly petite too!
