According to Jesus, "...there is no one who does good, not even one."
He's right, you know.
He's right, you know.

So why even try since you cannot do it?
Just be evil on purpose.
Great advice...

Not advice but if that is your choice, so be it. You reap what you sow.

Not necessarily, Matthew 5:45.

Must be nice to have a book tell you everything so you don’t have to think for yourself.

Everything you know about history, your career, politics, science, physiology, math, theory’s, the world, medicine, music, and culture came from.........wait for it......... a book.

Lots of books. From lots of different perspectives. Books that contradict each other. Books from a thousand different viewpoints.
And then, from all that info, from my experiences, from stimuli I’ve gathered and my own thoughts, i’ve Developed opinions.
and I still don’t know what the real truth is sometimes.
But i’ve Learned that it’s seldom what we’ve been taught on the surface

The thing is, you can question any of that because man is fallible. In fact much of our current knowledge is in its current state because past claims were challenged and changed based on what was discovered from being challenged.
God's divine inspirations would be 100% true, and above any criticism. So you literally could follow it without thinking.

Real truth about what?

Right and wrong. Truth and lie.
It’s grey. It’s all grey.
Sometimes the wrong action leads to the right outcome and Visa versa

I would say yes, there's no vengeance in justice. Death is final, its not a learning experience. So even if you can rationalize the taking of someone's life because of their behavior, you cannot justify the "brutal killing" of that person.
This is why in our current justice system we do our best to carry out death sentences in the most humane way possible.

I’ve written and cancelled so many times in this thread.
What do some people consider murder? Why would you kill?
Need more Scotch to answer

Of course I can.
If someone molests a child, kills a child, I think they should be dragged out to the town square.
I think they should be flayed alive as people look on. I think their orifices should be filled with caustic. I think their genitals should be smashed.
I want their screams to fill the air like a symphony of the damned. I want all to know what awaits them should they follow in their path.

Our Justice system is a farce. People rot in jails for selling a little weed while murderers and rapists walk free.
Millions are spent to make sure that the killers of innocents have color TV and creature comforts while veterans shiver in the cold.
People like you are worried about the needle being sterile for a lethal injection. You’ve taken it to an insane level.
The only real justice in this world is the one you take. The kind you make.
And it isn’t made enough in this world.

The inner struggle may be admirable and make a good movie script, but ultimately all that matter are the actions. An inherently good person is just as good or better than someone like me, that is equally capable of horrific acts but chooses to be the best that they can.

No such thing. There is no good/evil. There is only survival/death. If good deeds will help you survive long enough to propogate your genes then you have succeeded in nature. It’s simply a means to an end.
True, but not in the sense that you seem to think. Murdering, raping, and stealing might seem like it would increase your odds in propagation, but there's a reason why people have banned together and created communities with a rule of law to keep order. It's much more efficient than running around doing the aforementioned behaviors.
The reason we currently live in a society stable enough to create cars, computers, hospitals, etc. is because of the rule of law. A society where everyone raped and pillaged wouldn't be stable enough to produce anything we currently enjoy.
If you're shortsighted behaving in whichever way that benefits you the most might seem like the best course of action, but things don't always go your way. Maybe you run across someone who's bigger and stronger than you? It'd help to have friends to help defend you but since your a murder and a rapist no one trusts you enough to be around you... So you get killed. Maybe you're out hunting for your own food and fall out of a tree and break your leg. You could depend upon friends to help provide for you but since no one trusts you you'll just starve.
There are countless examples of why its better to work in groups as opposed to being solo. And having stability in a group requires some sort of moral code. You can look at the most successful societies and see which moral codes work the best.

The Mongols, the Huns, the romans, the Vikings, the Persians...pretty much every conquering empire in history (and their progeny) says that’s bullshite.
Some of you people have such a short comprehension of humanity. Of what is “normal”.

Humanities first attempts at anything are usually not our best attempts, so that in and of itself isn't a really compelling argument.

To justify something means something positive needs to come of it. The only possible positive thing you kinda hinted at was possibly a warning to others not to behave like that. If it could be proven that that is a useful criminal deterrent then sure, you'd have justified it. But based off what I know there's not much of a case to be made for that.

Pointing to areas where our justice system is flawed doesn't automatically mean the entire thing is flawed. You need to specifically address the issue being discussed. Whether or not people are rotting in jails over selling a little weed or not plays zero role in whether or not its just to brutally kill someone.
